Online therapy via a secure Zoom platform allows us to connect with our clients virtually, eliminating the need to navigate traffic or take time away from work or school. Many clients find virtual therapy to be a convenient, time-saving, and effective way to get the help they need.
Parenting Work
For parents, online therapy provides the flexibility to join sessions from separate locations or during times that fit busy schedules. . Parenting sessions often include psychoeducation and didactics, skill instruction, problem-solving, and guidance tailored to your child’s needs.Groups
Group therapy sessions are conducted via a secure Zoom platform. Whether it's a parent skills group like DBT-C or a teen/tween anxiety group, participants join from the comfort of their own homes. Groups are interactive, with opportunities to learn, practice, and connect with others facing similar challenges.Children and Teens
Online therapy can work well for some children and teens, but we carefully screen clients to ensure virtual therapy is the best fit for their needs. When virtual therapy is a good option, we work to incorporate activities that are especially designed to engage them virtually. We use interactive tools, games, and creative exercises to build trust, teach coping skills, and explore emotions. For younger children, sessions may involve parents to enhance effectiveness and provide support for applying new skills at home.Online therapy is secure, confidential, and for many clients, can provide the same high level of care as in-person sessions, while making it easier for families to access the help they need.

Your first session, called an intake session, is a 60-minute appointment designed to dive deeply into the reasons that brought you or your child to therapy. During this session, we will:
Explore the Presenting Concerns: Discuss the challenges you or your child are facing and what led you to seek support.
Gather a Developmental History: Gain a comprehensive understanding of developmental milestones, relevant experiences, and background information.
Clarify Goals: Collaboratively identify treatment goals so you have a clear picture of where you or your child are headed and will know when you’ve gotten there.
Discuss Treatment Options: Talk through the best approaches and options to help you or your child move toward those goals.
This session sets the foundation for treatment, ensuring that your work with us is tailored to your needs and is goal focused in order to help you achieve meaningful progress.
-
The length of therapy is different for each client, depending on their unique needs and goals. That said, we use evidence-based treatment models that are proven effective and are goal driven so that our clients achieve meaningful progress in as short a time frame as possible.
Our therapists work collaboratively with you to ensure you’re moving toward your goals at a pace that feels right. Our approach is goal-focused and progress-oriented, aiming to equip you and your child with the tools and strategies needed to thrive. Once you’ve met the treatment goals you set at the start of therapy, and feel confident and ready, our goal is to support you in stepping out of therapy and living the life you want.
We believe that therapy is designed to be a stepping stone, not a lifelong activity.

As such, we ask that if our clients are experiencing an emergency, they do not make us their first call!
Our clinicians are available for to answer calls and email during normal business hours. For a mental health emergency, or something potentially life-threatening that cannot wait until regular business hours, we ask that you please contact emergency services (911) immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
For non-emergency situations requiring urgent attention (ie. cannot wait until regular business hours), we recommend utilizing crisis hotlines or seeking help from facilities specializing in acute care. Our clients’ safety and immediate needs are paramount, and we encourage you to access appropriate resources in times of crisis.
